Some couples are just meant to be, and CC and Tracy are definitely one of those couples! We first met at Red Gate Farms’ Best Day Ever Weddings and Events Expo. They came by my table, and we had a wonderful conversation, but they hadn’t made a final choice yet on a photographer. Later, though, CC told Tracy, “That’s the photographer I want.” Little did they know that fate had a surprise in store. They ended up winning one of the expo raffles, which included a big discount on wedding photography with me! It was truly a “meant-to-be” moment that set the stage for an unforgettable journey.
Their wedding day started at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Port Wentworth, Georgia. It was my first time photographing a Catholic wedding, and I was both excited and honored to capture this beautiful ceremony. The church itself was stunning, with tall arches and stained-glass windows that cast colorful light across the pews. The rituals and traditions were so moving, creating a timeless, sacred atmosphere that made every moment feel incredibly significant. Watching CC and Tracy exchange their vows in this setting was like witnessing a little piece of history.
Once the ceremony wrapped up, we transitioned to Crosswinds Golf Club in Pooler for the reception. The venue was perfect, with its beautiful, expansive greenery and a warm, inviting atmosphere for everyone to gather and celebrate. The reception was filled with so much joy and laughter as CC and Tracy celebrated with their closest friends and family. From their first dance to the heartfelt toasts, it was clear that this couple is deeply loved by everyone who knows them.
Looking back, CC and Tracy’s wedding day was one of those experiences that reminds me why I love being a wedding photographer. Their love story, the beautiful Catholic ceremony, the joyful reception, and the “meant-to-be” moment that brought us together all added up to a truly unforgettable experience.
