GLAMOUR, GOLD, AND CLASS!!!
That is the only way to start explaining how beautiful this wedding was. I have to say this has been my favorite wedding to shoot this far. Not only because it was so easy to photograph the amazing presentation of this wedding but because of all the people that made it possible.
Let me just say that from the beginning of booking I knew this would be a special day. It was PERFECT!! Derricka was such a beautiful bride and took care in every detail of her special day. Before I seen her on arrival or any of the wedding décor the magnificence of the arrangement in her home décor showed that her style was unapparelled and it showed in her wedding from beginning to end. There were many things that stood out to me like jumping the broom. Many people don’t do this traditional anymore but its in remembrance of our ancestors in slavery that would jump the broom to show their love for each other in marriage since they were not able to legally marry. Also, the choice of song and wedding vows confirmed what I say to each couple. “That if you are showing emotion so will I”! HAHA. The love they feel for one another could be felt from every word they spoke. This IS one of the reasons I love photography weddings the most! It’s because I feel that I am reliving the day I married my beautiful bride.
Derricka and Jay are one of the most loving and caring couples I have ever met. They ‘re a reflection of their entire family. From me arriving to leaving their entire family showed me love like I was one of their own. Making sure that I had everything I needed, all the way to reminding me over and over that they fixed me a plate and that I need to eat! LOL. That was special to me because that’s what I have tried to build 9184Designs and Photography on. Love and Family! It was an honor to be part of this day and I am so thankful and blessed that Derricka and Jay chose us. I wish nothing but everlasting love and marriage for these two! Congratulations! I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos in this sneak peek. Enjoy!
