In March, I had the pleasure of meeting Sydney and Ben during their spring engagement session. Like many couples, they were initially uncomfortable in front of the camera, but they did an amazing job! They have a genuine and easy-going nature that makes them easy to love and get to know. They truly are an amazing couple.
For their wedding, they opted for a small and intimate ceremony on Tybee Island Beach surrounded by close family. The beach location was perfect with easy parking, few people, ideal lighting, and excellent temperatures with a light breeze but no wind. Surprising for a summer shoot on the beach! I was relieved as wind is always a concern for beach weddings and photos.
I love large weddings that start with getting ready photos and end with the grand entrance, but short intimate weddings are so very special. You get a moment to enjoy the love that unites and savor the feeling of marriage. It was clear from the start that this type of wedding day was the best fit for Ben and Sydney.
Currently, Ben and Sydney are on a cruise, and I hope they have some internet access to see these beautiful memories from their amazing beach wedding! Enjoy my favorites!
